Set around the music hall scene, this is the story of three composers who believe that if they persuade Edie Story, London’s most popular singer, to sing one of their songs, they will find success. Problems arise, however, when they sell the copyright on their best song to someone else, who then attempts to entice Edie into singing it under his name. Tensions fray as love also rears its head and the men compete for success with the songs as well as the singer
