Museum Hours

The two leads, non-professional actor Bobby Sommer and artist and singer Mary Margaret O’Hara, have an unusual chemistry. Their relationship is comprised of part wounded empathy and part discomfort, lending an unusual sincerity to this unique story. Like all elements in Cohen’s work, the performances are precise and unfussy. Impressively assured and intense, MUSEUM HOURS also retains a humble vulnerability – both in the director and his actors – in the face of great art and artists.
