Painstakingly restored by The Rohauer Collection in conjunction with The Film Foundation and The George Eastman House, this legendary film has been elevated to haute cult status and is available now for the first time in its original running time. Now you can see it as it was presented originally - a fascinating story in which the dead move among the living. The Dutchman lived in the 17th-century, but is not permitted to rest until he finds a woman who loves him enough to die for him. He meets the reincarnation of a woman from his dead past (Ava Gardner). They fall in love and the story progresses to a hair-raising reconciliation of past and present. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Great Britain.
