Rich Girl is a 1991 film directed by Joel Bender that starred Jill Schoelen as 21-year-old Courtney, a wealthy girl from Bel-Air, California who wants to make it on her own. She finally settles for being a waitress at a nightclub called Rocco's, where she meets and falls for a singer from Skid Row, Don Michael Paul. The cast also includes Cherie Currie as a cocaine using singer, Sean Kanan as Courtney's ex-fiance, and Paul Gleason as Courtney's rich father. Some reviews were largely negative, film critic Rita Kempley wrote "Schoelen, who has the personality of coral, and Paul, who makes musical inspiration look more like hepatitis, make boredom seem a reasonable alternative."
