When the Orient Express pulls out of the Gare de Lyon it has some very contrasting characters on board. The most nervous of them is Poole, a man who has double-crossed two criminals and stolen a diary containing important political information. The two crooks manage to jump aboard the train while it is moving, and as it journeys through the beautiful French countryside, the majority of passengers are unaware that amidst them are two murderers with revenge on their minds.
