An English explorer stumbles onto a remote oriental Lamasery, where he interrupts a punishment ritual wherein a woman is being buried alive. Fascinated by the dancing of Takia, a white girl brought up there, the explorer vows to rescue her from her barbaric surroundings. This does not meet with the approval of the despotic tribal chieftan, who has his own designs on Takia.
