From director Julia Solomanoff and the team behind legendary filmmaker Pedro Almodovar's biggest hits, including TALK TO HER, WILD TALES and JULIETA, comes LA BOYITA, a visually-stunning and beautifully-acted Argentinean drama. La Boyita, a little bubble-shaped caravan, has always been a place of refuge, games and confessions for Jorgelina (Guadalupe Alonso) and her older sister, Luciana (María Clara Merendino). As Luciana enters puberty she begins to seek privacy and independence from her adoring sibling. Rather than tag along after her sister at the beach, Jorgelina decides to spend her summer holidays with her father in the country. There, on the sun-drenched Pampas prairies, she develops a close friendship with Mario (Nicolás Treise), a local farm boy and jockey. Throughout a summer of siestas, horse rides and adventures, the mysteries of sexuality begin to appear to Jorgelina and Mario. And instead of separating them, their revelations will only bring the pair closer on this road to discovery and, ultimately, acceptance.
