Discover
The story of three sisters, Lucy, Vera and Charlotte. Lucy mothers the younger two as they grow up until one day Charlotte meets, falls in love with and marries Geoffrey, a popular socialite. Vera quickly follows and so does Lucy. As the years pass, it is clear that both Vera and Charlotte have very unhappy marriages. Both have unhappy children, Charlotte’s in particular as they are beaten by Geoffrey. One day, unable to take his cruelty anymore, she rushes out of the house and is killed by a car. It is Lucy who comes to the rescue...
