Time travelling forms the basis of the humour of this film. Tommy is an unscrupulous American businessman who sells shares in a ‘Time Ball’ to his gullible friend, Bill. While examining the ball with a Professor, something goes wrong and the group of them are flung into space millions of miles away from earth. After fiddling with the controls, the Professor manages to transport them back to earth, but unfortunately into the wrong century. They arrive in the Elizabethan era, where their strange attitudes cause them much trouble.
