Bob Randall is a war correspondent during the Second World War. Returning to London, he becomes aware of a Peace Organisation that he suspects is in fact a cover for Nazi manipulations in Britain. He attends a meeting where he meets Carol, a fellow journalist on his paper who does not have the same suspicions. As he investigates further, his attempts to have his findings published are blocked. The situation escalates and he and Carol end up fighting for the truth as well as their lives.
