Wasao

In the peaceful town of Ajigasawa in northern Japan one day a stray dog came to town on a freight train from Tokyo. The shy dog now and then appears in the town. Setsuko has to feed the dog, who seems to have come to trust a little boy named Akira. Akira helps Setsuko, but because a puppy was involved in the accident that killed his mother, he finds it difficult to make friends with the new dog.
