Anna Levine

Anna Winger is an American writer who lives in Berlin, Germany. She is creator of the television drama Deutschland 83 and author of the novel This Must Be the Place (Riverhead). Her personal essays have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Condé Nast Traveler, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and Süddeutsche Zeitung. Winger's radio series for NPR Worldwide, Berlin Stories, is a literary archive about the city. It has been on the air since 2009. She speaks English, Spanish and German, but always writes in English.
