Daybreak

Eddie is a middle-aged barber with a secret. His secret is that his second job is that of public hangman. After falling in love with a pretty Londoner, Frankie, he inherits some money and decides to stop his second job. However, until another man is sufficiently trained, he must continue. The two are married and live on a barge, maintained by Olaf, a conceited youth who blatantly displays his desire for Frankie. One evening they fight viciously and Eddie falls overboard, but his body is not found. A thriller with unexpected twists.
