Filmmaker Hendrik Löbbert plunges into the world of hunting and leather coats. In his documentary, he accompanies three hunters from Brandenburg, including Hubertus Meckelmann. They are visiting this area one last time, because the hunting in the core area of the former military training zone will soon be banned. But what does this mean for the population of red deer, fallow deer, and wild boar? And how does the return of the wolf in the woods of Brandenburg affect the wildlife? The hunter profession is changing, not least because of increasingly stringent regulations. Löbbert and his cameraman Hajo Schomerus follow over the shoulder of hunters, dive into their cosmos and show how devoted they are to their worldview and the importance of traditions for this profession.
