In/Sights was the first compilation of female self-portraits ever done. 24 years later, Joyce would raise the bar again, with the publication of Wise Women: A Celebration of their Insights, Courage and Beauty, Tenneson’s portraits capturing the power of women in the third phase of their lives. Chronicling Joyce’s journey as a trailblazing artist as an iconic photographer of the female form, Unveiled details the milestone works in her career, and explores the deep communion she enjoys with her subjects in search of capturing the perfect moment with her lens. The probing documentary also pulls back the curtain on Joyce Tenneson the woman, whose personal life as a wife and mother often conflicted with her artistic passions as she ventured out into a male-curated field in search of her path of self-discovery.
