It’s the story of a little Arab women hair salon in Israel, the story of coexistence between Arab and Jewish women, and the story of Iris, the filmmaker, who washed their hair last summer. Expecting to hear from Arab women about the difficulties of living as a minority in Israel, Iris was surprised to find a story of friendship and acceptance between Arab and Jewish women, an island of sanity in the complex reality of Israel. The film shows 10 portraits of women - Arabs and Jews, in the hair-washing sink, speaking with curious Iris about politics, history, life and love, representing contrasting voices of the Israeli society.
