Taura Stinson is an American songwriter and occasional musician. She is known for co-writing songs for artists such as Usher, Ariana Grande, Paloma Faith, Deborah Cox, Raphael Saadiq, Burns, Kelis, and Destiny's Child. Stinson has also written songs for films and television, Twin Peaks, Black Nativity (soundtrack), Epic, Rio 2, Hands of Stone ("Champions"), You May Now Kill the Bride ("Carnivore"), Step ("Jump"), and Mudbound, for which she received critical acclaim earning Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and Black Reel Award nominations for Best Original Song.
