Thomas Montgomery Newman is an American composer best known for his many film scores. In a career that has spanned over four decades, he has scored numerous classics including The Player (1992), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), The Green Mile (1999), the Pixar films Finding Nemo (2003) and WALL-E (2008); and all but one of the films of director Sam Mendes including American Beauty (1999), Road to Perdition (2002), the James Bond films Skyfall (2012) and Spectre (2015), and the war film 1917.
