When Miranda is the sole witness to a felony perpetrated by one of the city's most powerful women, she finds herself on a hit list. Miranda needs to hide out in a safe house until the trial date. Grating decides the safe house will be Bonkers' apartment at Dementia Gardens. Miranda soon finds that even working day-in and day-out with a toon partner hasn't prepared her for a non-stop three-day weekend with Bonkers and his toon neighbors. Bonkers is so thrilled to have company he becomes a hyper camp counselor, packing every waking moment with frenetic toon activity. Miranda finally loses her cool and shuts Bonkers down. But the bobcat redeems himself when he bands the toons together in a counter-assault against Miranda's would-be assassins.
