Called to investigate a haunted house, Bonkers and Miranda encounter Dobie, a 1930's toon ghost actor still inhabiting the site of his last location shoot. Their spooky confrontation ends with Bonkers arresting the ghost and bringing him to the station. Dobie wreaks havoc, and Grating's enmity for toons once again comes to the fore. Bonkers calls in Von Drake, who attempts his own brand of 'ghostbusting.; his ecto-efforts prove futile, when the ghost gets ahold of Ludwig's ecto-bazooka and turns it on the precinct, sending the ghostbusting team plummeting into the darkness! From out of the sewer comes a plan! Snitch shows them one of Dobie's old 'talkies,' and Bonkers convinces Grating to participate in an elaborate ruse to save the station. They re-enact the movie scene, and trick the ghost into finding another place to haunt.
