Sometimes even spoiled girls want more, and that's just the case with 16-year-old Katrina. Usually once things get rough, Katrina gives up. But now, she wants to prove that she's more than a pampered princess and be MADE into a soccer player. While she quickly tries to fit in with the soccer team, she remains a girly-girl, and it's in the midst of a pedicure that her MADE coach shows up. Matt, a professional soccer player and member of the Cincinnati Excite, quickly puts Katrina to work on basic dribbles and pits her against her 9-year-old soccer star sister. Katrina also gets set up with Darren, a personal trainer who tries to whip her into shape but Katrina constantly cries and complains. When the coaches visit her home, they realize she has no responsibilities. They send her to the Cincinnati Zoo to clean stalls so she'll finally get muddy and learn a little about work ethic. Even after her dirty duties, Katrina still slacks on the field and Matt is tempted to give up. Instead, he sends her to varsity soccer practice and then to a week-long soccer camp. When Katrina first gets to camp, she still constantly cries, exaggerates injuries and hyperventilates. But when she hooks up with Michelle, a new coach for the week, she starts to enjoy playing soccer! Once she improves, the camp's coach initiates her into "the family." Back at tryouts in Ohio, Katrina does well on drills, but when she plays one-on-one, she falls hard and breaks her hand. She's not willing to give up though, and plays through tryouts with a cast. Unfortunately, the coaches must cut 20 girls, and it's going to be tough for an inexperienced Katrina to make it. The coach calls Katrina and says she earned a lot of respect, but isn't quite ready for the team. He asks Katrina to be the team manager and she agrees. Her family, friends and coaches are proud of her, and more importantly, Katrina is proud of herself. She may not have made the team, but she was MADE into a girl who will never give up.
