Dylan is known as the class clown at his high school but now he wants to be MADE into a fashion designer. Enter Dylan's coach, noted fashion designer Rob Younkers who tells Dylan that he will be competing in a fashion show and must showcase five looks in five weeks. Dylan goes to the city for inspiration and snaps photos of things he wants to incorporate in his show. The next day Rob thinks its time for him to learn how to measure for sizes. With the technique of measuring under his belt, Dylan wants to make Lily, his longtime crush, a skirt. Rob gives him a brand new sewing machine and he heads off to sewing class--where is the only guy. His new sewing skills aren't as good as his measuring skills when he attempts to create Lily's skirt. Rob is disappointed but helps him out and the next day he gives Lily her skirt. She is overjoyed and wears it the rest of the day. Next task to learn: sketching. Robs thinks Dylan's sketches need some help and takes him to a class where he must draw a nude model. Things start to crumble for Dylan. Rob is disappointed with his work ethic, Lily has a boyfriend, his parents are upset he is failing classes, and he ends up losing patterns for his show. Dylan wants to prove to Rob that he wants this and starts working extra hard. At the practice show, his pieces are not complete. After getting a makeover for the show, the day has come for Dylan to strut his stuff. With his crazy patterns, funky designs, and wearable outfits, Dylan steals the show. The judges, who include Austin Scarlett from Project Runway, vote him as the best and his classmates finally see a new side of him. Dylan has been MADE.
