Lillie is a Star Wars geek who lives in Ohio. She spends her time in a Jedi-themed room and doesn't want to socialize with people, especially boys. Lillie wants to improve her poor self-image by being MADE into a beautiful pageant queen. After a hard day at school where Lillie's peers scoff at the notion of her becoming a pageant queen, Lillie is in for a surprise. Her bus pulls up to a red carpet where an announcer introduces Lillie and asks a series of pageant questions. Afterward, Lillie's MADE coach, Michelle, introduces herself. Michelle is a model, pageant judge and Mrs. Ohio America 2002. She reassures Lillie that she has beautiful features. However, she warns that they have a lot of work to do to prepare for the pageant competition in five weeks. Lillie's first assignment is to wear heels at school and endure a grueling treadmill run. The following day, Lillie practices her posture with a cup of water on her head. The water keeps spilling and Lillie feels like giving up. Later, Lillie speaks with a group at The Attic venue, where she organizes a benefit concert, 'Bands Against Bullies.' Next, Lillie gets beauty tips and more from the school's most popular girl. At school, she puts her new confidence to the test and approaches her biggest crush for a date. He agrees to go, but later tells her that he has a girlfriend and cancels. Lillie wants to quit, but her mother offers words of support to keep her motivated. After Lillie loses four inches around her waist, Michelle helps her to find the perfect pageant dress. At school, Lillie promotes her benefit concert and gets compliments on her improved look. One guy even asks her on a date! On the day of the pageant, Lillie graces the stage with confidence. The question part of the competition is about Lillie's benefit concert, so she answers it easily. Finally, the winner is announced -- it's not Lillie. Backstage, Lillie cries tears of joy. She's become the person she always wanted to be, so she feels like she's won.
