Dirty God is a British film directed and co-written by Sacha Polak. It is Polak's English language debut, and also marks the feature film debut of actress Vicky Knight.
The film is about a young mother who uses her beauty as her social currency who is forced to reconstruct her life after an acid attack leaves her with facial scars. Actress Vicky Knight was chosen to play the lead role, as she is an actual burn survivor. It was selected to be screened in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition section at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival on 26 January 2019.
