Comedy legend W.C. Fields wreaks havoc on land and sea in the hilarious Tillie and Gus co-starring Alison Skipworth and Fields’ nemesis, Baby LeRoy. Mistaken for African missionaries, professional cardsharps Tillie (Skipworth) and Gus (Fields) have come to the small town of Danville in hopes of grabbing a family inheritance. When a larcenous lawyer manages to fleece the estate out of everything but a ramshackle ferry, he challenges the pair to a winner-take-all race between his boat and theirs in a crooked scheme that’s about to be sunk by the two sharpest cards on deck.
