It's American Week on Dancing With The Stars! Let the red, white and blue festivities begin! Ralph & Karina Ralph & Karina were tasked with doing a Brazilian Samba to a Southern Rock song. The result was a high-energy dance with some nifty two-steppin' tossed into the mix. Len and Bruno didn't think their dance did the Samba justice. Carrie Ann reminded them that it IS American Week. 8-7-7 from the judges for 22 kicked off the night for this dancing duo. Chris & Cheryl Chris & Cheryl did a charming star-spangled Viennese Waltz. Guess they were out of red, white and blue wrestling tights because Chris had to settle for a super-sharp uniform. Bruno thought the dance was full of grace and Carrie Ann believes they may have underestimated Chris. Len added that the Chris will get an 8 when he "deserves" an 8. Well, he deserved an 8 and more tonight. 9-8-9 from the judges gives them their best score to date of 26. Petra & Dmitry Elvis was in the building for Petra & Dmitry's Quickstep to "Viva Las Vegas." This was a fast dance and they kept up with it for the most part. Bruno saw a few foot faults that didn't sway his overall positive feeling, but Carrie Ann thought Petra took a step backwards. 7-7-8 from the judges gives them a total of 22. Romeo & Chelsie Romeo is putting on his top hat for his trip to "New York, New York." The Foxtrot Romeo & Chelsie churn out was snazzy and sophisticated. There were some high-kicking moves and some on-the-money moves that had the crowd engaged and the judges impressed. 9-8-9 scores for a total of 26 is a personal best and enough to put them into a tie for the top spot with Chris & Cheryl. Hines & Kim With an ending right out of An Officer and a Gentleman, Hines & Kym did a romantic Rumba. They say ladies love a man in uniform. Well, all the guys out there were probably just as impressed with the smooth moves of this Super Bowl MVP. Len says this may have been the best dance Hines has done. Trip 9's from the judges gives them a 27 total along with the lead for the night! Kirstie & Maks Kirstie & Maks have had their issues over the past few weeks, so they sought some advice from a dance doctor. This particular PhD looked a lot like John Travolta. Kirstie & Maks heated up the stage with a Foxtrot that didn't have any falls or footwear issues whatsoever. Scores of 8-7-8 from the judges for a total of 23 suits this "American Woman" just fine. Kendra & Louis Kendra & Louis perform the 1,000th competitive dance in Dancing With The Stars history. Both dancers were decked out in lots of stars and stripes as they did a fun "Yankee Doodle" Foxtrot. Kendra was a little hurt by Carrie Ann's comments last time out, but all three judges had nothing but praise after this dandy dance. 8-7-7 scores give them a total of 22. Chelsea & Mark Chelsea & Mark had a high-energy "Party in the USA" with their Samba. They were smooth and in sync as the made full use of the entire dance floor. The crowd loved it, as did the judges. 9-8-9 scores give them total of 26. At the end of the night, Hines and Kym were in the top spot while three couples tied at the bottom of the ballroom scoreboard. It's still safe to say American Week was a star-spangled success for everyone!  Music and Dances for Week FivePairDanceSongArtist   Ralph & KarinaSamba Sweet Home AlabamaLynyrd Skynyrd Chris &CherylViennese Waltz America the BeautifulWhitney Houston Petra & DmitryQuickstep Viva Las VegasElvis PresleyRomeo & ChelsieFoxtrot New York, New YorkFrank SinatraHines & KymRumba Proud to Be an AmericanBeyonceKirstie & MaksFoxtrot American WomanLenny KravitzKendra & LouisFoxtrot The Yankee Doodle BoyAlan Ett & William AshfordChelsea & MarkSamba Party in the U.S.A.Miley Cyrus
