Apolo and Karina are asked to do an encore of the Viennese Waltz that earned them a perfect 30 the night before. Then the elimination process begins as we learn that Emmitt & Cheryl are safe as are Kelly and Valentin even though they both had the lowest scorers of the night. Shawn & Derek learn they are safe and we learn that Derek has an injury that may prevent him from dancing next week. Mark Ballas will step in for him. As the elimination process continues, Gilles & Peta learn they are safe as are Kirstie & Maks. Five of the lowest scoring teams are returning. That means one of the judges’ favorites is heading home. After the amazing Taylor Swift wows the crowd performing her hit “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” the elimination process continues. Melissa & Tony learn they are safe. That means the only two teams to receive perfect scores from all three judges are left. Apolo & Karina learn they are safe. That means Sabrina & Louis are headed home. Next week, the teams will be challenged to do two different dances to one song in what’s being called a “fusion dance.” The following teams will be performing the following fusion dances: Melissa & Tony: Tango & Cha Cha Kelly & Valentin: Cha Cha & Foxtrot Gilles & Peta: Argentine Tango & Samba Apolo & Karina: Cha Cha & Paso Doble Kirstie & Maks: Quickstep & Samba Emmitt & Cheryl: Rumba & Samba Shawn & Derek (or Mark): Tango & Paso Doble
