Ariel finds a message in a bottle which leads her, Sebastian and Flounder to a humongous, lonely seamonster named Simon. Ariel gives Simon a pep talk, telling him. 'There's a big, beautiful world out there, and you can go anywhere you want!' Simon says, 'Great! Take me home with you!' before Ariel can dissuade Simon, the behemoth sea monster has his bags packed and is heading for Atlantica! Simon has the loud, abrasive personality of Ethel Herman after 1,000 cups of coffee!
