Discover
Set against the wild world of San Francisco in the late 1800's. Edward G. Robinson plays a nightclub owner trying to woo Mary Rutledge (Miriam Hopkins), a woman from back east who has been left to her own devices in the rowdy port town. While she is kept by the nightclub owner, Mary falls in love with an honest gold miner (Joel McCrea).
