Need a no-fuss way out of a broken marriage? Got an itch to turn a spin of the roulette wheel into easy money? Reno is the movie and the place where it all happens. Richard Dix, whose Cimarron and The Conquerors roles make him no stranger to tales of historic sweep, stars in this morality tale tracing the development of the “Biggest Little City in the World,” from mining-boomtown-gone-bust to its rise as a divorce capital and gaming center. Dix portrays lawyer and entrepreneur Bill Shear, whose experiences mirror that rise, particularly through his interactions with his wife and their daughter. Gail Patrick (My Favorite Wife) plays Bill’s spouse, who uses the divorce laws he helped create to free herself from him and his business-first ways. And Anita Louise portrays the grown daughter Bill hopes to shelter from the pain of separation when she seeks to divorce her husband.
